We've ground earcorn with a hammermill for years but I would like to see less fines and more cracked . Tried a burr mill great feed but too slow . Used my recutter lately and man is that dusty . I'm just looking for the best method without breaking the bank of a sto. ... and what would should ground earcorn be worth if someone asked to buy some ? Just wondering what u could charge for the extra work if your not just doing it for your self ?

No screen and you get whole cobs and if it isn't full all the time the corn spits back up in the air about 40'.... what a mess . Tried a haybuster with a 2" screen and had the same problem corn everywhere and whole cobs

or didn't you have time to spend a "few" hours of repair time that I didn't have. It should do a fine job with the right screen Texas Papaw

Central Texas

Tub grinder with 5/8" screen and ear corn kit, which includes a hood that covers 1/2 of the hammermill does are good job. Hood goes on the side where the hammers are going upward when running. Stops it from throwing ears out. Downside of mill is uncovered for ears to come in. Years ago had both a Farmhand and Haybuster and they had ear corn kits that included the hood and also a pipe that fan across the tub from 1 side to the other to stir and move the ears into the mill. garvo

have earcorn screen for haybuster-they make a factoy one that works perfect-best mill is a earcorn crusher with roller mill underneath-henke 36 inch or peerless-Adam could build you one out of two 36inch henke rollermills with crusher's -but your probably not serious-so you will continue to fight your problem that could easily be solved with a little investment, you can see my 2 henke's below-would be no problem to do a earcorn mill the same way garvo

if you want to save some money go buy a henke earcorn mill-a 36 inch should work-we did 50,000 bushel with one yearly -before that used a 36inch peerless mill-lots of them in Wisconsin -look on tractorhouse SOILcattleman

You wouldn't happen to have a lead on a smaller roller mill? Definetly wouldn't need a 36" mill, would actually like to find one like they use to run on Harvestore silos. IL cow man

If you can find one New Idea used to make a roller mill to replace the husking bed on a picker. They took the grain off with an auger, so not so much dust as a blower. They did a great job of processing the corn, but were prone to plug up between the mill and the wagon. If you want to go to the trouble, the mill is a good unit to make a stationary processor out of, but it will take some work to make a frame and power supply for it. turbo1

Amazing Hammer Mills for Straw At Fabulous Offers

Whether you are looking for hammer mills for straw for your own operations, or you're a feed machinery retailer hoping to make a saving on your wholesale purchases, you will find much lower prices when you buy direct from China than buying form your local manufacturer or importer. Shop the Alibaba.com wholesale hammer mills for straw listings today and see how much you can save, whether you are buying a single unit or multiple machines.

Make your hammer mills for straw purchases work for you by finding out just how much you can save when you buy direct from a wholesaler or manufacturer in China. This kind of equipment is essential for all kinds of animal feed processing operations and can be a significant investment, so make sure you find units that are both high in standard and low in price, by buying direct through Alibaba.com. You can also save money when you purchase multiple units of hammer miles for straw. Whether you want a buy for your own use or you sell to your companies, you'll find what you need.

The production of animal feed is one of the most important cogs in the cycle of global economics and food production. Without the machines to feed animals in large agricultural operations, farmers are not able to meet the necessary demand for meat and dairy. Companies that process feed for animals rely on good machinery, as much as companies that process food for humans do. Good machinery will keep your production levels high and your overall processes more effective. But these kinds of machines can often represent a significant payout, especially when you need to replace or upgrade old machines that you are unable to repair or sell. That's why buying direct from wholesalers through Alibaba.com is the most sensible way to keep costs down whilst keeping production levels high.
