Composite Wear-Resistant Plate

Composite wear-resistant plates are produced by surfacing a high-hardness, wear-resistant layer onto low-carbon or low-alloy steel, which has excellent toughness and plasticity. The wear-resistant layer typically constitutes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the plate's total thickness.

Wear tests reveal that these composite plates offer wear resistance over 20 times higher than low-carbon steel and 5 times higher than stainless and high-manganese steel.

Hardfacing Bimetal Composite Plate is composed of an A36 steel plate as the matrix and Chromium Carbide particles with Austenite as the hard face. This newly developed material finds extensive use in coal mines, power plants, the cement industry, metallurgy, glass industry, and chemical industry. Chemical composition consists of C: 3.5-4.0%; Cr: 30-40%; and our specially made Austenite. Microstructure analysis shows evenly distributed Chromium Carbide particles in the Austenite, greatly enhancing strength, wear resistance, erosion resistance, and impact resistance.
