What is a good site to order automotive brake parts from?

Hi all,

I need to replace the brakes on my Mercedes ML 350. I already ordered the parts form an online vendor "FCP Euro" but that didn't go well, and I had to return them. I had input my cars info on their website and a green confirmation window popped up along with the results saying "These parts will fit your vehicle". I thought I was good to go and ordered the complete kit that included front & rear pads, rotors, etc. However upon arrival, I discovered the parts were only for the AMG series and wouldn't fit my car. The CS rep was kind of curt and rude blaming me for the mistake pointing to a disclaimer at the bottom of the page saying, "It is the customers responsibility to verify correct fit" Although they agreed to a full refund as long as I shipped all back to them, at my expense. The CSR also sent me a link to the "Correct parts package" but no way I will do business with them, again.

Anyway, I would appreciate a lead on a good no nonsense site to order parts from.

Thanks

Eddy I'm surprised at your experience with FPC, I have been ordering parts for my Volvos from them for many years, and had mostly good experiences, I guess things have changed since I had to deal with CS last. I did have a problem about 10 years ago where the brakes were listed as fitting my car, but were the wrong size, they took them back without any issues at all, but I dropped them off at the warehouse since I happened to be driving past on the business trip the next week. My car is apparently an odd ball, it has 17" OEM wheels, but rotors sized for what they list for 16" wheels on their site.

For my Honda, I have been buying from a dealer that sells at a good discount online, maybe there is one doing that for Mercedes as well. My local Honda dealer charges full MRSP, so even with the shipping, the online dealer has better prices. If you are looking to go aftermarket, I bought brakes from Rock Auto for an older Honda Pilot we had, they were the Centric rotors that are ok, but not up to OEM quality. They have several levels of quality to choose from. I had a problem with Centric non-coated rotors on my Volvo and had to cut them off since they were rusted on so badly, so I only use OEM now.
