Where to buy cylindrical lenses
If you want to learn more, please visit our website.
Some aspects to consider before buying cylindrical lenses: available focal lengths, optical materials and sizes, material quality, spherical or aspheric options, coating options, thermal stability, compatibility with optical systems, ease of integration, alignment precision.
With its comprehensive resources, RP Photonics helps you to well prepare purchase decisions:
Cylindrical lenses have different focusing properties in the x and y directions. They can be used to generate elliptical beams, transform elliptical beams into circular beams, or create a line focus. These lenses are essential in applications requiring precise beam shaping and control.
106 suppliers for cylindrical lenses are listed in the RP Photonics Buyer's Guide, out of which 12 present their product descriptions. Both manufacturers and distributors can be registered.

Edmund Optics selection of cylinder lenses include achromatic, acylinder, plano-convex, or plano-concave. Achromatic cylinder lenses provide additional color correction by minimizing chromatic aberration. Hybrid acylinder lenses are ideal for color correction, in addition to minimizing spherical aberration. Edmund Optics offers cylinder lenses with glass or plastic substrates, or with circular, rectangular, or oblong dimensions. Multiple anti-reflection coating options are available from the ultraviolet to the infrared, including UV-AR, UV-VIS, MgF2, VIS-NIR, VIS 0°, or NIR I. Edmund Optics offers full prescription data, in addition to 2D or 3D models.

As the name suggests, a cylindrical lens or cylinder lens is an optical lens with a cylindrical or semi-cylindrical shape. Like a spherical lens, a cylindrical lens has one curved and one flat side. Unlike a spherical lens, however, cylindrical lenses arent fully symmetrical the orientation of a cylindrical lens affects how it transmits light.

About the Company
Light Guide Optics Pvt. Ltd.established in to cater requirement of precision optics of domestic as well as export market. Light Guide is backed by a strong engineering business group, engaged in multifarious activities like paper manufacturing, heavy machine manufacturing and mechanical engineering consultancy.
Light Guide is well equipped to design and manufacture high precision conventional and non-conventional optics as small as 2mm to as large as mm. Plane, spherical, cylindrical and aspheric surfaces can be fabricated. We can process a variety of optical materials like various optical glasses, fused silica, Silicon carbide, crystals like quartz, calcite, KTP, KDP, LiNbO3, ZnS, ZnSe and metals like stainless steel, copper, brass, nickel etc. A milestone was achieved when we developed in-house, process of polishing metal optics, not achieved by any other industry in India, till date. The process was upgraded to polish Large Aperture Metal Mirrors. Our 500mm diameter Gold Coated Metal Mirror for high power CO2 laser application is the largest of its kind in India. We have produced a number of metal mirrors for beam deviation, beam focusing, collimation and resonator applications since then.
Opto-mechanical system design is the thrust area for our new developmental activities. System design, design optimization and product realization is possible due to a well-equipped mechanical and electroplating facility. The collaborative efforts of our designs, optics and mechanical workshop have resulted into design and production of world-class instruments like Radiation Resistant Macroscope for Nuclear Application. We have developed various instruments like interferometers, beam expanders, telescopes, special purpose microscopes etc.
The production activity is well supported by test facility. Optics test lab is equipped with various optical instruments like autocollimators, collimators, beam expanders, optical bench, centering microscope, lasers, interferometers etc. Most of these instruments were developed in-house.
Light Guide is a professionally managed company, headed by Siddhartha Dhawale. We have a hard working and talented team, well trained in their discipline, for any critical and demanding job.
